Inter defender Stefan de Vrij and wing-back Denzel Dumfries are set to start for the Dutch national team in their upcoming World Cup qualifier against Montenegro.

This according to Dutch news outlet AD.nl, who include the Nerazzurri pair in their predicted starting eleven for the clash on Saturday.

Both de Vrij and Dumfries are regulars in the Dutch national side, with both having starred for the team at the Euros up to their elimination by the Czech Republic in the round of sixteen.

The Oranj changed head coaches from former Inter coach Frank de Boer to Louis van Gaal after the tournament, but the former Ajax, Barcelona, and Manchester United boss has continued to rely on the Inter duo.

Both Dumfries and Stefan de Vrij are expected to start as part of a back four, rather than in a back three with wing-backs as they do at club level, with the defensive line to be completed by Liverpool’s Virgil van Dijk and Ajax’s Daley Blind.
