Inter are considering a number of alternatives to replace Ivan Perisic on the left should the Croat leave the club in the summer.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that Eintracht Frankfurt’s Filip Kostic and Spezia’s Simone Bastoni are among the likeliest candidates to come in should Perisic depart.

Perisic remains a regular starter for the Nerazzurri, but he could be on his way out in the summer given that his current contract is set to expire at the end of June 2022 and no agreement has been found on a renewal.

Atalanta’s Robin Gosens remains an option who the Nerazzurri are tracking and would be the first choice to replace Perisic, but the German would cost well in excess of €30 million and so they would likely be priced out of a move for him.

Accordingly, the profiles of several players who could be more financially feasible are being offered, with Eintracht wing-back Kostic a player who the Nerazzurri have been interested in in the past and out of contract in the summer of 2023 so potentially available for a cut-price fee.

Borussia Monchengladbach’s Ramy Bensebaini is another player whose current deal runs out at the end of June 2023, and the Nerazzurri could bring him in if his club wish to sell him next summer rather than risk losing him for free.

Monaco’s Caio Henrique and Villarreal’s Alfonso Pedraza are two other players being tracked by the Nerazzurri, with Stuttgart’s Borna Sosa and AZ Alkmaar’s Owen Wijndal also considerations.

Another player whose progress has been closely tracked by the Nerazzurri is Spezia’s Simone Bastoni, whose performances on the wing have impressed this season.

The 25-year-old is increasingly a player of interest as a long-term left-wing-back option at Inter while the emergence of Andrea Cambiaso in the early part of this campaign at Genoa has presented another option.

In Serie B, the season that Carlos Augusto has been enjoying on the left for promotion hopefuls Monza has made him a potential target as well.
