Legendary former Roma midfielder Daniele De Rossi believes that the Scudetto race is far from settled and that Inter can get themselves back into contention.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, the 38-year-old gave the view that while AC Milan and Napoli currently look like the strongest teams in Serie A there is room for the Nerazzurri or potentially other rivals to gain ground.

The Nerazzurri are seven points behind the joint league leaders, though they will have an opportunity to at least haul back the deficit on the Partenopei if they are able to win in their first match back from the international break.

The two sides at the top have impressed to get into the position they’re in, but the other teams at the top end of the table have also showed quality and determination and should be capable of finding themselves back in the Scudetto race.

“Milan and Napoli are better than the rest right now,” he stated, “but the season is long. They will all come back, Inter, Roma, Juve, and even Lazio. There isn’t one team who are much stronger than the rest, it will be fun.”
