Inter have been reassured about the fitness of Edin Dzeko after his early return from international duty and can count on him to play against Napoli next weekend.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the 35-year-old will get past the right thigh flexor problem that caused him to make an early return in time for the massive head-to-head with the Partenopei.

Yesterday Dzeko made his return to Milan after being released early from the Bosnian national team, having missed the World Cup qualifier against Finland through his injury and also not being ready for tomorrow’s clash with Ukraine.

The striker will work to get back to fitness from the problem that caused him to leave the pitch during the second half of the derby against AC Milan.

The club have been given assurances that this process will not take so long as to rule him out of the key matches that come immediately after the break, in Serie A against Napoli and in the Champions League against Shaktar Donetsk.
