Inter striker Edin Dzeko is set to be ready to play in the Nerazzurri’s first matches back from the international break, against Napoli in Serie A and Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League.
This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, who report that the injury problem which has caused the 35-year-old to drop out of the two matches during the international break with Bosnia and Herzgovina will not keep him on the sideline for the return to club action.
Dzeko was absent from the Bosnian national team’s World Cup qualifier against Finland on Saturday due to a thigh strain that he had picked up during the second half of the derby clash with AC Milan.
The Bosnian will also miss out on his national team’s last match of the international break, another qualifier against Ukraine tomorrow evening.
Dzeko will return to Italy where he will have his injury examined to determine the amount of time needed to recover, but the club are not worried and he is not expected to miss the first match back after the break, next Sunday against Napoli.
