Legendary former Inter striker Sandro Mazzola is an admirer of Napoli head coach Luciano Spalletti, but he nevertheless hopes that his former team can get the better of Spalletti’s side on Sunday.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster Radio Kiss Kiss, the Nerazzurri legend also spoke about striker Victor Osimhen as the danger man for the Partenopei ahead of the massive head-to-head clash next weekend.

Spaletti returned to coaching this season when he took over from Gennaro Gattuso at Napoli during the summer, having spent the past two seasons out of football after parting ways with the Nerazzurri at the end of the 2018-19 season.

The Italian tactician looks to have found the right club at which to implement his ideas, with the Partenopei flying high at the top of the table alongside AC Milan under his guidance.

Mazzola still likes Spalletti, but he is hopeful that the Nerazzurri can get the better of their former coach when Napoli travel to the San Siro in the first match back from the international break.

“I like Spalletti a lot,” he stated, “but right now we have to punish him.”

He went on of the player he most fears can hurt Inter in the match, stating that “Osimhen scares me, when I watch him it takes my breath away, he is unpredictable.”
