Roma could look to move for Inter midfielder Matias Vecino in the January transfer window, with the player potentially unsettled at the Nerazzurri.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Il Tempo, who report that the Giallorossi are eyeing a move for the Uruguayan to shore up their midfield as early as January.

Vecino recently made remarks which indicate that he is not happy with the playing time he has received so far this season, with the 30-year-old not having been a regular starter for the Nerazzurri.

The Uruguayan could depart the club in search of a more prominent role at another club, and Roma are among the teams with the strongest interest in his signature.

Vecino’s current deal at Inter is set to expire at the end of June 2022, and the club could look to monetize his departure in January given his comments about playing time and the interest of the Giallorossi.
