Inter are still some way from meeting the salary demands of midfielder Marcelo Brozovic in contract extension talks with the player, but could reach the amount through add-ons.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the Nerazzurri are using the addition of add-ons in a deal as a strategy to try and reach an agreement with the 28-year-old.

Finding an agreement on a renewal with Brozovic is a major priority for the Nerazzurri, with the Croat a vital player in the team and his current contract expiring at the end of June 2022.

The player is asking for around €7 million net per season in order to agree to a new contract, and the club are still far away from this amount.

However, they have taken an approach of including significant add-ons in the deal that they’re offering, in the hopes that they can get close to the amount and convince the midfielder to commit his future.
