Inter are considering Borussia Monchengladbach left-back Ramy Bensebaini as a possible replacement for Ivan Perisic next summer.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the 26-year-old is one of the main alternatives to Filip Kostic for the role, though he would not come cheap and they could face significant competition for his signature.

Perisic’s current deal is set to run out at the end of June 2022 and it currently looks unlikely that an agreement will be found on an extension past this summer.

Eintrachr Frankfurt wing-back Kostic is the top name to replace him, but Bensebaini’s profile is also admired by the Nerazzurri.

The Algerian left-back’s current deal at Gladbach is set to expire at the end of 2023, though given his age and the interest of other top clubs in him he would not come at a discount.

Roma had been among the clubs seriously interested in Bensebaini during the summer transfer window and could move for him again, but there are many other European clubs interested in addition to the Giallorossi, not least Bayern Munich.
