Inter striker Edin Dzeko is doing a personalized training regimen on his own with a view to recovering from injury ahead of Sunday’s Serie A clash with Napoli.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInter1908, who report that the Bosnian is still carrying the thigh strain that kept him out of the international break and that he is training individually in the hope that he can start the vital head-to-head with the Partenopei.

Dzeko missed both of Bosnia and Herzgovina’s World Cup qualifiers during the break, against Finland and Ukraine, having been forced off as a substitute during the second half of the Milan derby.

The 35-year-old had pulled up following a sprint and immediately signalled to the bench that he would not be able to continue, while tests revealed the nature of the strain.

Dzeko is a vital player and the Nerazzurri will hope that he can play from the start against Napoli, so he is doing everything to get back to fitness as he trains individually.
