Inter are looking to extend the contract of defender Federico Dimarco until 2026, and the player is reportedly eager to find an agreement.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the club are in talks towards renewing with the 24-year-old on improved salary terms.

Dimarco’s current deal at Inter is set to expire at the end of June 2023, but given that his performances this season since returning from a two-year loan at Hellas Verona have impressed and made him a regular in the team, the club want to secure his future.

Negotiations with the player’s agent Beppe Riso are reported to have moved forward on the amount offered in wages by the club, who are now ready to offer €1.5 million net per season to convince him.

The player for his part wants to stay and an agreement on a new deal that will take him until the end of June 2026 could be found soon.
