Inter striker Edin Dzeko and defender Alessandro Bastoni are both nearing full fitness and will play in the Nerazzurri’s Serie A clash with Napoli on Sunday.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the pair are both aiming to make a return to training today and to complete a full training session as early as tomorrow.

Dzeko has been recovering from a thigh strain which he picked up during the Milan derby and which caused him to miss both of Bosnia and Herzgovina’s World Cup qualifiers.

Meanwhile, Bastoni also was unable to make any appearances for the Italian national team due to a muscle problem.

However, both look to be close to a full recovery after their individual programs, and are expected to join up with their teammates this afternoon, after which they can be back in full squad training with a view to the massive head-to-head with Napoli.
