Inter defender Stefan de Vrij is a target for Premier League clubs Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur during the January transfer window.

This according to today’s print edition of UK tabloid the Daily Mail, who report that the two English sides are eyeing up a move for the Dutch defender.

Dr Vrij’s current deal with the Nerazzurri is set to expire at the end of June 2023, and he is yet to agree on an extension with the club.

A number of Premier League sides have already shown an interest in the 29-year-old in the past, and he has been linked with a move away next summer.

However, he could even be on the move as early as during the January transfer window, with the likes of new Spurs head coach Antonio Conte and Newcastle under new owners the PIF both reportedly keen on signing him at the earliest possible opportunity.
