Inter are set to have defender Andrea Ranocchia back from a thigh injury against Cagliari this weekend, while Matteo Darmian is also a possibility to make his return.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that Ranocchia will be available for the clash with the Rossoblu, and that Darmian’s condition is still being evaluated.

Ranocchia and Darmian have both missed the past few matches for Inter through thigh injuries, but in Ranocchia’s case the 33-year-old is close to a recovery and should be back in time to take his place on the bench for the Cagliari match.

Darmian is still a doubt for the match against the Sardinians on Sunday, but should he not return then he will likely be fit and available for the Nerazzurri’s away trip to face Salernitana.

Meanwhile, forward Joaquin Correa will still miss the next several weeks through his injury.
