Inter could look to bring in Manchester United left-back Alex Telles in during the January transfer window as a back-up to Ivan Perisic on the left.

This according to yesterday’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the 28-year-old is still a consideration on loan or for a low fee should he be offered by his current club.

Inter are looking for a player who can deputize for Perisic in the left wing-back role, with the only alternative to the Croat in the team right now being Federico Dimarco who is seen as more of a left-sided defender.

The club are pursuing potential low-cost signings for the January window who could fill in for Perisic when he is out of the team or needs a rest.

Telles had been a target during the summer when it appeared as though he could be on his way from Old Trafford and it also seemed as though the Nerazzurri were ready to part ways with Perisic.

The club could look to resume their pursuit of the Brazilian in January with an aim to shoring up the left-sided position, but only if they feel that he is available for a reasonable fee.
