Inter head coach Simone Inzaghi wants the team to make his former players Felipe Caicedo and Francesco Acerbi transfer targets for January.

This according to Italian news outlet Agipronews, via FCInter1908, who report that both players could depart their clubs next month and that Inzaghi would seek reunions with them.

Caicedo made the switch from Lazio to Genoa in the summer, but the Ecuardorian has found his minutes very limited by injury and could leave the club as early as the January transfer window.

Should this happen, he would be a target for the Nerazzurri, as he had been during the summer, with Inzaghi trusting the player with whom he spent four seasons at the Biancocelesti.

Meanwhile, Acerbi could be on his way out from the Biancocelesti during the January transfer window as well, having failed to fully make the adjustment to life under new coach Maurizio Sarri.

Should he be available next month, Inzaghi would consider Acerbi a major target for Inter to move for to bring in a reliable reinforcement in defense.
