Inter could sign Roma midfielder Gonzalo Villar this month, but only if both Matias Vecino and Stefano Sensi leave the club.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the Nerazurri are not likely to move for the 23-year-old if room is not made in their midfield

Villar has emerged as a target for the Nerazzurri during the January transfer window, with the Spaniard seen as having the right profile to back up Marcelo Brozovic in the squad.

The Giallorossi could be amenable to allowing him to leave, although a swap with Vecino does not look likely as the Uruguayan prefers to stay for the rest of the season and consider his options at the end of his contract.

Meanwhile, Sensi could also depart on loan in search of more playing time, and this would likely be necessary before the Nerazzurri make a move for Villar.
