Sassuolo CEO Giovanni Carnevali does not anticipate that striker Gianluca Scamacca and midfielder Davide Frattesi will be sold for anything less than €65 million between them amid strong links to Inter.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster Radio Deejay, the executive named the amount as the likely minimum, and even suggested that they will probably be sold for more than that.

Scamacca and Frattesi are two of the Nerazzurri’s major targets as they look to strengthen their squad with young and Italian players during the summer transfers.

The players’ form this season for the Neroverdi has strengthened Inter’s interest in their signatures, but it has also ensured that the duo will not come cheap.

Carnevali believes that when all is said and done the pair will cost in excess of €65 million, and it remains to be seen if Inter will be ready to meet such a valuation.

“It’s true that €65 million wouldn’t be enough for the two of them,” he said. “The sale of Vlahovic from Fiorentina, whose contract was a year away from expiring, but in any case of a top player, was done for €75 million.”

“Scamacca, Raspdori and Frattesi are also very good players,” he emphasized. “They have high quality and room for growth.”

He explained that “Setting a price is difficult, especially because the Italian market is at a standstill and all clubs are suffering. But beyond the price, our players have great quality. As for the price, we’ll figure it out in due time.”
