The ownership situation at Chelsea could mean that Inter will finally get to sign N’Golo Kante after years of coveting him, according to a report in the Italian media.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, the fact that Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has now had all of his assets frozen by the UK Government could mean that N’Golo Kante will look for a move away from the club.

The Chelsea owner has been sanctioned by the UK Government as it is believed he is closely associated with Russian President Vladimir Putin, who recently launched an invasion of neighbouring Ukraine.

The club are now unable to buy players or sell them without having the transfer fee frozen. N’Golo Kante is out of contract with the Blues in 2023 but he could be available on a cheap deal in the coming summer as he seeks a more stable project at another club.
