Edin Dzeko has scored more goals than every other striker in his age bracket this season apart from Manchester United’s Cristiano Ronaldo, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been pointed out by Tuttosport, the Bosnian forward may not be getting the sort of recognition that he deserves for playing so well and now being 36-years-old.

Edin Dzeko has performed a lot better than expected for Inter given his disappointing final campaign for AS Roma where he only scored seven Serie A goals.

This season so far, he has scored 12 Serie A goals, three in the Champions League and one in the Coppa Italia.

Those figures are only bested by Manchester United’s Cristiano Ronaldo when it comes to strikers over the age of 35 in Europe.

The other notable players in this category are Leicester City’s Jamie Vardy with 10 goals. Luis Suarez with nine, and AC Milan duo Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Olivier Giroud who have eight each.
