Inter-owned striker Andrea Pinamonti feels that the brace that he scored for Empoli against Napoli yesterday can be a major turning point for him.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster DAZN after the match, the 22-year-old emphasized how his eleventh and twelfth goals for the Tuscans can be a further jumping-off point for him.

Pinamonti had already gotten into double figures this season on loan with newly-promoted, with the striker having said numerous times that ten goals was the benchmark he’d set for himself.

Now, over the rest of the season the 22-year-old can really begin to flex his wings, and he did his parent club a big favour by scoring the two goals that may well have decisively removed Napoli as title rivals.

Right now, Pinamonti is not thinking too much about the future and is focused on celebrating his brace, but he knows how significant it is for the juncture he is at in his career.

Pinamonti said that the brace can “Definitely” be a turning point, elaborating that “Now I can say so because I’m happy with what I’m doing. I’m happy, I’m calm and things are starting to show on the pitch.”

As for his future, the 22-year-old said that”I don’t want to think about any of that, I just want to celebrate with my teammates in the locker room.”
