Inter are considering making a move for Roma’s Armenian midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan this summer on a free transfer.

This according to Italian transfer market journalist Alfredo Pedullá who reports that the former Manchester United midfielder is yet to agree a contract extension with the Giallorossi.

According to the report, Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi is a big fan of the former Arsenal midfielder and sees him as the ideal back up to Turkish international Hakan Calhanoglu.

Mkhitaryan is also being monitored by Premier League outfits Aston Villa and Tottenham as well as Serie A outfit Napoli.

However, Roma has put forward a two year deal to the player who is very happy in the Italian capital the report continues but could be tempted by a move elsewhere should that offer be lucrative enough.

Mkhitaryan joined Roma in the summer of 2019 on loan before making the transfer permanent a year later for free and has since then featured 116 times across all competitions for the Giallorossi scoring 29 goals in the process.
