Manchester United are seriously interested in signing Inter wingback Denzel Dumfries this summer.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the Red Devils lead the way among European clubs interested in the 26-year-old, who the Nerazzurri would look to replace with a player of similar quality if he’s sold.

Dumfries made the switch to Inter just last summer, but the Dutchman’s form has already attracted significant admirers, including new Manchester United coach Erik ten Hag.

The Dutch coach has made Dumfries one of the Premier League side’s transfer targets for the summer window, whilst the Nerazzurri have set the asking price for him at no less than €30 million.

In the event that Dumfries were to be sold, Inter would look to sign a top-quality replacement for him right away, similar to the operation which saw him arrive to replace Achraf Hakimi last summer, in addition to the imminent arrival of Raoul Bellanova.
