Inter’s friendly match against Lugano today has been sold out, with all four thousand tickets available sold as the Nerazzurri are set to give fans their first glimpse of some of Simone Inzaghi’s new tactical ideas.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri could display a few new tweaks by the coach in today’s match, their first friendly of the preseason.

Inzaghi and the squad have only been working on the training pitch for a few days, but already the coach has been thinking about some alterations for the coming seasons with the new players he has at his disposal.

Anticipation will be high to see Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez back in action as an attacking partnership, but newly-signed midfielder Kristjan Asllani has also shone in training, and the Albanian could be tested out in a two-man midfield unit with Marcelo Brozovic.

Meanwhile, Joaquin Correa could be used in a Number Ten role behind the strikers, a tweak which could also see the likes of Henrikh Mkhitaryan or Hakan Calhanoglu moved into that attacking midfield role.

The likes of those three as well as Edin Dzeko, who the coach sees as an attacking playmaker as much as an out-and-out striker, could also be used as attacking midfielders behind a lone striker in a 3-4-2-1 formation.
