Torino Owner Urbano Cairo feels that if Inter are to sell defender Milan Skriniar for €70 million, then it would not be logical for them to go on to sign Bremer for a much smaller fee.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster La7, Cairo gave his thoughts on the transfer links between the Brazilian and Inter, and explained that while he wants to give the player the move that he wants, he also wants to value him fairly.

Inter are simultaneously engaged in two sets of transfer negotiations for two of the outstanding defenders in Serie A, at once negotiating with Paris Saint-Germain for the sale of Milan Skriniar and looking to sign Bremer from Torino.

The talks with PSG for Skriniar see the French champions putting forward very high offers in terms of transfer fees, with reports suggesting that the Nerazzurri are holding out for €70 million for the Slovakian.

Meanwhile, Inter are not reported to be offering the Granata anything close to what they could stand to receive for Skriniar, and Cairo feels that this would not accurately reflect the values of the two defenders respectively.

Asked if he thinks there is a fair price for Bremer, the Torino owner said that “There is, but I don’t think it would be right for me to say what I think it is. I’m on good terms with his agent and we’ve had positive discussions.”

He continued of Bremer that “The player is a great person, I told him that when a suitable offer arrived I would sell him.”

“But everything is relative,” Cairo went on, “because when I hear that Skriniar could go for €70 million, I think Bremer is worth more than the sums that have been rumoured.”

“My goal is to make him happy and I will do so,” he added, “because in any case any of the clubs who can afford him are top-level teams.”
