Inter forward Alexis Sanchez has turned down a move to Saudi Pro League club Al-Nassr.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Il Giornale, who report that the 33-year-old has no interest in the financially substantial offer made from the Saudi club and that his dream remains a move back to Barcelona.
Al-Nassr have tested Sanchez’s resolve by offering him a contract which would see him earn very large wages, but the Chilean’s priority remains to find a project at a high level in sporting terms.
Brazilians giants Flamengo have tried to tempt Sanchez into joining alongside national team and former Nerazzurri teammate Arturo Vidal, but he wants to remain in Europe.
Benfica are the latest club within European football to show interest in signing the 33-year-old, but for the time being his ideal would be to go back to Barcelona, and he is wary of all of the offers that have come in for him so far.
