Former Inter striker Federico Bonazzoli is close to making the switch from Salernitana from Sampdoria for €4.5 million, with the Nerazzurri having a 20% sell-on fee for him.

This according to Sky Sport Italia transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio, who reported live on air that the Campanian club are close to signing the 25-year-old on a permanent basis.

Bonazzoli came through the youth ranks at Inter and left to join Sampdoria during the summer of 2015, at the age of 18.

As part of the deal to send him to the Blucerchiati, the Nerazzurri inserted a clause in his deal that would entitle them to 20% of any fee for his eventual sale.

The striker has spent time on loan at various clubs including SPAL and Torino across his time with Sampdoria, joining newly-promoted Salernitana on loan last season.

Salernitana intend to make Bonazzoli’s deal a permanent one, and the fee will be €4.5 million, 20% of which the Ligurians will have to give to Inter, in other words around €1 million.
