Inter have agreed on a deal with Lazio which is worth €4 million for the transfer of Italian defender Francesco Acerbi, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported by La Repubblica today, the Nerazzurri are pushing ahead with their efforts to add Francesco Acerbi to the squad and have come to an agreement with Lazio.

There will be a loan deal which will cost Inter €500,000 and then they will pay a transfer fee at the end of the loan which will come to €3.5 million.

This is much more affordable for Inter than trying to find €15 million to sign Manuel Akanji from Borussia Dortmund even though he would be a better signing in the long run due to his age.

Inter have been very aware that they need to add a central defender to the team because they have lost Andrea Ranocchia and no new defender has joined yet.
