Goalkeeper Andre Onana could start for Inter in tomorrow evening’s Champions League group stage opener against Bayern Munich.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, who report that Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi is seriously considering handing the Cameroonian his first start for the club over Samir Handanovic based on what he’s seen in training.

Onana has yet to make a competitive start for Inter, having only made appearances in preseason friendlies so far since joining from Ajax over the summer.

However, the time looks to be getting closer and closer for the 26-year-old, as Inzaghi believes that he should be ready to make his first start at some point in the coming matches.

This could come as early as tomorrow’s clash with Bayern, as the coach is having some serious doubts between the Cameroonian and captain Handanovic as he mulls over his team selection for tomorrow, and a start for Onana can hardly be ruled out.
