Inter faced a total of seven shots in just the first 25 minutes of their Champions league group stage opener against Bayern Munich, a clear indication of the kind of barrage that their goal had been under for much of the match and particularly the first half.

As football statistics account Opta pointed out in a tweet, this was in fact not just the highest number of shots that the Nerazzurri had conceded in that length of time, but in an entire first half in the competition.

Their tweet reads, “7 – Inter have faced seven shots on target in the first 25 minutes of play against Bayern Munich (including Sané’s goal): they have never conceded more in a single #UCL first half since 2003/04. Trial.”
