Legendary former Inter, Fiorentina, and Roma striker Gabriel Bastituta feels that current Nerazzurri striker Lautaro Martinez has established himself at a very high level.

Speaking to Argentine broadcaster Ole, via FCInterNews, Batistuta hailed the level of development that Martinez has already shown during his time at the Nerazzurri.

Martinez did not arrive at Inter as a widely-established talent, particularly within the context of the Argentine national team.

However, the Argentine striker began to dispel doubts that there may have been about his level over the course of his time playing for the Nerazzurri during the past few seasons.

Now, the 25-year-old has the experience of winning the Serie A title, the Supercoppa Italiana, and the Coppa Italia under his belt.

Having hit the start of his real peak years, Martinez is now a player with a top reputation based on the significant role that he plays for both his club and national sides.

“Martinez has been at Inter for four years now and he’s really established himself,” Batistuta said.

“He has shown that he’s a top forward in that time.”
