Inter Sporting Director Piero Ausilio is set to meet with the agent of Borussia Monchengladbach forward Marcus Thuram whilst at the World Cup in Qatar.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri executive will hold talks with the 25-year-old’s agent very soon.

Ausilio is currently in Qatar where he is observing the FIFA World Cup.

The Nerazzurri director watched wingback Denzel Dumfries in action for the Dutch national team yesterday, and has had scouting a number of targets on his agenda as well.

Given that Inter are set to step up their pursuit of Gladbach forward Thuram, Ausilio will also use his time in Qatar as an opportunity to make progress in their chase of the Frenchman.

Ausilio will meet with Thuram’s agent in the next couple of days to discuss a prospective transfer according to the Gazzetta.
