Inter wingback Raoul Bellanova does not hide the fact that being signed on a permanent basis next summer would represent a dream come true for him.

Speaking to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, the 22-year-old admitted that he is hopeful about his loan with the Nerazzurri being made permanent, but that it is something that will be discussed in due course.

Bellanova joined Inter on a one-season loan from Cagliari during the summer transfer window.

The Nerazzurri have the option to make the 22-year-old’s loan move permanent.

There is no guarantee that Inter will decide to exercise this option.

However, for his part Bellanova would be very keen to join Inter on a permanent basis, and is hoping that his performances over the remainder of the season will be sufficient to convince the club to commit to the future together with him.

Asked if he would be happy to be signed permanently by the Nerazzurri, Bellanova replied that “Yes, it would be a dream come true, but I just have to focus on playing well when called upon, and then we’ll evaluate things at the end of the season.”

Of playing in yesterday’s friendly win over Gzira United, Bellanova said that “These are important opportunities that we have to take advantage of, but as I said before, the important thing is to always work and give 100%.”

“Regardless of whether we’re given ten, twenty, or thirty minutes, when the coach calls on us we give everything,” he added.
