Legendary former Inter goalkeeper Ivan Bordon is immensely proud to have been inducted into the club’s hall of fame.

Speaking to the club’s official site, Bordon expressed what being part of the Nerazzurri for his entire life has meant to him, and thanked everyone who had helped him along the way.

Bordon spent more than a decade at Inter between 1970 and 1983, making over three hundred appearances for the club across all competitions.

During that period, the former keeper won the Serie A title twice with the Nerazzurri, also reaching the European Cup final in 1972 where he and the team were defeated by the legendary Ajax team of Rinus Michels and Johan Cruyff.

Bordon established an enduring reputation for his ability on the pitch as well as his conduct off of it during that period, and this is reflected in his newfound place in the club’s all-time hall of fame.

“Dear friends, first of all I want to thank everyone who voted me into the Inter Hall of fame,” Bordon said, “I’ve gotten here after many years spent with the Nerazzurri, a lifetime of great satisfaction.”

“I also want to wish everyone a merry Christmas, full of happiness and peace.”

“I conclude with a special thank you to my fans who have been following me since 1970, the year of my debut,” he concluded.
