Newcastle United are keen to sign Borussia Monchengladbach striker and Inter target Marcus Thuram.

This according to Spanish news outlet Mundo Deportivo, via FCInterNews, who report that the Magpies are serious about trying to sign the 25-year-old, as the race for his signature becomes more and more crowded.

Inter have made Thuram a major target either for January for a fee, or for next June on a free transfer.

The Nerazzurri have long been admirers of the Frenchman, having already looked close to bringing him in during the summer transfer window of 2021.

However, there is no shortage of other clubs keen on Thuram’s signature.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Newcastle are yet another club who are ready to make a big effort to sign the Frenchman.

The Tyneside club would have the financial power to get a deal done to sign Thuram, and they are hoping that they are able to convince the player.
