Bologna have joined Inter in the race to sign Hellas Verona wingback Josh Doig.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the 20-year-old Scot is a target for the Rossoblu, and that the asking price for him would be around €7-8 million.

Doig is on Inter’s radar as a possible signing for their left flank, where the future of Robin Gosens has been uncertain.

If the German were to leave in the future, the Nerazzurri would go in search of a like-for-like replacement in the left-sided wingback position.

Doig has been linked among the candidates that Inter are looking at from within Serie A.

Despite the fact that the Scot only joined Verona this summer, his performances for the Gialloblu in the Italian top flight have already impressed.

This has marked Doig out as a possible signing for Inter, although Bologna are also keen.
