Inter head coach Simone Inzaghi has decided to go with youngster Gabriel Brazao over the experienced Alex Cordaz as the Nerazzurri’s third choice goalkeeper in the squad for this evening’s friendly match against Sassuolo.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, who note that the Brazilian is included in the squad list to face the Neroverdi, whilst the Italian is absent.

Brazao has been with the Nerazzurri’s squad for training during the World Cup break.

The 22-year-old Brazilian has recovered from a knee injury, and should be ready to play during the second half of the season, potentially in a loan spell until the end of the campaign.

Brazao has been tested by Inzaghi during the World Cup break, now that he is fit.

For this evening’s friendly against Sassuolo, the coach has included him as one of three keepers, alongside Andre Onana and Samir Handanovic.

Former Crotone captain Cordaz has been the Nerazzurri’s third-choice keeper since the start of last season.
