Inter striker Edin Dzeko looks more likely than ever to start in next Wednesday’s Serie A clash with Napoli after his excellent performance in yesterday’s friendly win over Sassuolo.
This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, who report that the 36-year-old looks to have proved that he will start alongside Romelu Lukaku in attack with his goal and overall play against the Neroverdi.
Inzaghi will have a decision to make regarding who to start in attack against Napoli next week.
Lukaku looks all but certain to start after spending the past few weeks getting closer and closer to peak condition, whilst Dzeko has also been working throughout the World Cup break to reach his best form.
The return of Lautaro Martinez will certainly give the coach something to think about.
However, particularly given that the Argentine will have less than a week to prepare for the match against Napoli, Tuttosport assesses that right now Dzeko is clearly the more in-form partner for Lukaku.
