Lazio and Monza are both keen to sign Inter midfielder Roberto Gagliardini on a free transfer at the end of the current season.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that both the Brianzoli and the Biancocelesti have identified the 28-year-old former Atalanta midfielder as a potential free transfer opportunity for next summer.

Gagliardini’s current contract with Inter is set to run out at the end of June.

There is virtually no chance of a new deal being agreed with the Nerazzurri, and so the midfielder should leave at the end of the current season when his contract expires.

There is also some interest in signing Gagliardini for a fee as early as during the January transfer window.

According to the Gazzetta, however, both Monza and Lazio would be more keen to wait until the 28-year-old’s contract expires and then move for him in the summer.
