Inter striker Lautaro Martinez is still pushing for a spot in the Nerazzurri’s starting eleven for tomorrow’s Serie A clash with Napoli.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews, who report that the Argentine wants to make coach Simone Inzaghi reconsider starting the duo of Romelu Lukaku and Edin Dzeko in attack against the Partenopei.

Lukaku and Dzeko have been the starting pair in attack for Inter’s last two friendly matches against the likes of Reggina and Sassuolo.

These matches have been seen as the trial runs for the team to face Napoli in tomorrow’s virtually must-win match.

In this respect, the duo of Lukaku and Dzeko have proven themselves, showing good chemistry and putting in good performances in both friendlies.

This does not mean that Martinez is entirely out of the picture, however.

The Argentine has been back in training for a few days now, and is doing everything he can to convince Inzaghi that he is not only ready to start, but the right man to go with.
