Benevento have stepped up as a possible candidate to sign Inter striker Sebastiano Esposito on loan for the rest of the season.
This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via L’Interista, who report that the Campanians have joined the race for the 20-year-old’s signature now that he will be cutting his loan spell short with Anderlecht.
Inter are looking for a new club to loan Esposito to over the rest of the season since the striker fell out of favour at Anderlecht.
A number of teams in Italy have shown an interest in signing the 19-year-old on loan until the end of campaign.
There has been some interest from both Serie A and Serie B in the striker, who has had loan spells with the likes of SPAL and Venezia in the past.
Benevento are now among these, as the Serie B side have inquired about the possibility of signing Esposito on loan for the rest of the season.
