Inter remain in the hunt for Borussia Monchengladbach forward Marcus Thuram, but must fight off interest from Premier League club Chelsea.

According to Italian television broadcaster Sport Mediaset, and as reported by FCInterNews.it, the Nerazzurri have not given up hope of signing the France international, who will be available as a free agent when his contract expires in June.

Whilst Thuram has made clear his desire to leave Gladbach in the summer, Die Fohlen coach Daniel Farke earlier insisted that it was unlikely that the forward would be sold this month as he is keen to see out the season with the Bundesliga club.

Inter are hopeful of securing the former Guingamp player, potentially as a replacement for Romelu Lukaku or Joaquin Correa, but their efforts could come under threat from Chelsea.

The West London club have struggled in attack this term and are determined to bolster their frontline after a disappointing Premier League season, as they languish in 10th place.
