Barcelona have offered Inter the possibility of a swap deal involving wingbacks Jordi Alba and Robin Gosens, but the Nerazzurri aren’t interested.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that the Blaugranas have offered Alba to the Nerazzurri during talks ongoing between the clubs, but that the Nerazzurri’s response has been clearly negative.

Alba had already been reportedly offered to Inter in the last few months of the summer transfer window, when it appeared as though Gosens could be leaving the club.

However, the Nerazzurri showed little receptivity to signing the experienced Spaniard, and decided to keep Gosens for the season.

Barcelona are still looking to offload the former Valencia man, however, as they look to reduce their wage bill by moving on some of their highest-paid players.

Alba’s name came up in talks between Inter regarding possible swap deals of Franck Kessie for Marcelo Brozovic, or Memphis Depay for Joaquin Correa, according to FCInterNews.

However, the idea was nipped in the bud as Inter made clear to Barcelona that they would have zero interest in signing the 33-year-old due to his age and high wages.
