Inter are working to extend the contract of midfielder Giovanni Fabbian until the end of June 2027.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri are keen to secure the 19-year-old’s future as they start to plan for his next move after the end of the current season on loan with Reggina in Serie B.

Fabbian has been one of the in-form players in Serie B this season, with the young midfielder more than proving that he is ready for the step up to senior professional football after shining with Inter’s Primavera team last season.

The Calabrians would like to bring the 19-year-old back next season, and in the event that they are promoted to Serie A there is a very good chance that his loan will be extended.

However, the Nerazzurri are also considering other possibilities, including recalling him to their first team, or another loan move to continue his development.

In any event, Fabbian’s current contract runs until the end of June 2026, but the Nerazzurri are keen to extend this a further season as they certainly consider him to be an important player for the future.
