Inter striker Sebastiano Esposito looks to be on the verge of joining Serie B side Ternana on loan for the rest of the season.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that the 20-year-old will join the Umbrians on loan before the end of the January transfer window, after they make room in their squad by sending Stefano Pettinari to Benevento.

Esposito has been in search of a new club to join for the rest of the current season after having his loan spell in Belgium with Anderlecht cut short.

Ternana have emerged as the main candidates for the young striker’s signature, and according to FCInterNews, all they are missing is the official go-ahead from Inter.

The Nerazzurri would have little reason to stand in the way of the transfer and so should give their approval soon.

Once Pettinari is on their way, Ternana are anticipated to complete the loan signing of Esposito in the next few days.
