Inter defender Milan Skriniar may well have signed off as a Nerazzurri player in the worst way possible.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who note that if the 27-year-old leaves Inter before the January transfer window, his last action in a Nerazzurri shirt will have been to get himself sent off.
It is far from certain that Skriniar will still be an Inter player when February begins.
Now that it is confirmed that the player’s intention is not to sign a contract extension with Inter and that he is in talks with other clubs, the Nerazzurri could decide to cash in while they had the chance.
After his needless red card yesterday, the former Sampdoria defender will not be available to play in Saturday’s Serie A clash with Cremonese.
Accordingly, if Skriniar does leave this month, his goodbye will have been two reckless fouls which put his team at a numerical disadvantage in a hugely damaging Serie A defeat.
