Premier League club Nottingham Forest are serious about trying to sign Inter midfielder Roberto Gagliardini before the end of the January transfer window.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the English side are in talks to try and get a deal done over the next few days.

Forest will have to move negotiations along quickly if they want to sign Gagliardini for the rest of the season, with only a few days remaining before the transfer window slams shut.

According to the Gazzetta, however, the newly-promoted Premier League club are keen to do so.

Gagliardini’s contract with Inter runs out at the end of the current season, but Forest do not want to wait until then.

Accordingly, they will push to sign the former Atalanta midfielder in talks over the next week or so, and it will come down to whether they can convince Inter and the player on a deal.
