Inter have been in talks with representatives of Udinese midfielder Roberto Pereyra for the past several weeks regarding a possible move on a free transfer.

This according to Italian news outlet Calciomercato.com, who report that the Nerazzurri have opened up talks as they sense an opportunity to sign the 32-year-old without a fee when his contract with the Friulani expires.

Pereyra’s current contract with Udinese is set to run out at the end of June, and as of yet he has not agreed an extension past the end of the current season.

The Argentine former Juventus and Watford midfielder is a player who Inter admire, and he would represent a possible opportunity to add proven Serie A quality to the squad on a free transfer.

According to Calciomercato, the contacts between the Nerazzurri and Pereyra’s representatives have been ongoing for several weeks now, and there is a good chance that developments can be expected over the coming months.
