Roma and Galatasaray have agreed on a deal worth a total of €23 million for a transfer of former Inter midfielder Nicolo Zaniolo, with the Nerazzurri entitled to part of the fee.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri are set for 15% of a fee that could total €23 million if all add-ons are triggered after the Giallorossi green-lit the 23-year-old’s sale.

Zaniolo looks to be out of the plans in the Italian capital, but given that the Italian transfer window and that of most leagues in Europe closed at the end of January, he has found his options on a move limited.

However, the former Inter midfielder appears to have been offered an exit plan in the form of Istanbul giants Galatasary.

The Turkish side have moved to sign Zaniolo, and they and Roma have agreed a deal worth a total of €23 million including add-ons.

Inter will earn 15% of that amount due to a sell-on clause inserted in the deal when Zaniolo made the switch to the Giallorossi in the summer of 2018 as part of a deal which saw Radja Nainggolan come the other way.

According to Sky, Zaniolo will earn around €3.5 million net per season at Galatasaray, whilst he will have a €35 million release clause in his contract.
