Inter midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan led by example as the Nerazzurri secured a 3-1 win over Udinese in Serie A yesterday evening.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, the former Armenia international was the best player on the pitch, with his wonderful second half goal helping Simone Inzaghi’s side secure victory at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.

Mkhitaryan was awarded a 7 in the newspaper’s player ratings, in contrast to the 5 given to wingback Matteo Darmian for his performance.

The former Parma defender was at fault for Udinese’s goal, allowing Sandi Lovric in to equalise and receiving a yellow card before being substituted at half-time.

Striker Edin Dzeko also failed to impress and was given a 5, whilst goalkeeper Samir Handanovic and wingback Denzel Dumfries fared slightly better at 5.5.

However, other impressive performers included Hakan Calhanoglu, Nicolo Barella, Federico Dimarco, and Alessandro Bastoni, who were all awarded a 6.5.
